
Aoife is a Speech and Language Therapist with over 20 years of experience working with children and families across Ireland and the United States. She completed her Master’s degree in Speech and Language Therapy at the University of Limerick, graduating with First Class Honours.
Over the course of her career, Aoife has worked in Early Intervention services, public schools, and specialist autism programmes. She spent six years working in the United States across Delaware, Pennsylvania, and Maryland, where she supported children with speech sound difficulties, language delays, autism, and other communication needs. During this time, she also trained as an Assistive Technology Specialist, supporting children to use AAC and other tools to communicate and access learning.
Aoife has a particular interest in supporting autistic children and adults and is committed to providing a neuroaffirming, family-centred service where children and families feel supported and understood. She has completed extensive training in areas including Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC), Gestalt Language Processing, and the PROMPT Technique, and remains committed to ongoing professional development to ensure her practice reflects current research and best practice.
Aoife is a registered member of CORU, the regulatory body for Speech and Language Therapists in Ireland, and is also a member of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) and the Independent Speech-Language Therapists of Ireland.
